Her family moved to Orlando in 1993 to film The Mickey Mouse Club. The show lasted three years before being canceled. After her experience on the kids’ show, Britney and her family returned to Kentwood and enjoyed a reasonably normal life for a few years, including Britney re-entering high school and playing point guard on the basketball team. Britney’s father, Jamie, purchased a gym and turned it into a family business, with Britney helping to schedule aerobic classes. She also worked part-time as a waitress at the restaurant of her great-grandma’s crawfish restaurant.
