Inverse Dive Oops
We’ve seen this happen previously, in a neighborhood pool where we were swimming with some friends. A girl who resembled the one in this photo was practicing inverse dives when she made a mistake. To put it mildly, the outcome was… gory! An inverted dive is performed by standing at the edge of a diving board facing away from the water. They leap backward and use their bodies to flip, allowing them to enter the water facing the opposite way they began. It’s a fairly great trick, but it’s also obviously dangerous. We’re going to stick with cannonballs!
