Because of all the bad press, WWE cut her off. There were reports that she showed up for rehabilitation and attempted to get her on track. Let us hope that in the end, things turn out for her.

Back in the ’90s, Joan Marie Laurer achieved fame under the ring name of Chyna. She was also the first successful female wrestler ever! She deserves a lot of credit for setting the stage for other women in the industry. The talented wrestler earned the accolades and honors that she had won in the past. Besides wrestling, she soon began writing and publishing an autobiography. In 2016, however, she died following an overdose of medications. RIP. RIP.

It’s no secret that Lex Luger is one of the greatest wrestlers in history. He’s won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship once as well as the United States Championship no less than five times. He’s also competed in WWF, although he didn’t win the title there. In 2007, something terrible happened: he suffered from a nerve impingement in his spine that left him paralyzed. Thankfully, the paralysis was temporary and by 2010, he’d recovered. Today, he works for WWE and is a member of their wellness policy team.

At the start of his career, he would be known for wrestling in a loincloth, bare feet, and wielding a spear and shield when entering the ring. He had numerous runs at the WWE, between 1984 and 1993. Up until 2010, he would go in and out of retirement when it came to wrestling. However, once he retired for good, he had to deal with diabetes, eventually losing both legs. In 2020, he passed away.

Known as the Russian Bear, Ivan Koloff instilled fear in his opponents in the ring. During his time wrestling with WWF in the ’60s, he won the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. He even wrote a couple of books about his life and experiences. Sadly, he too passed away – in 2017.

He retired in 2002 and now works at a car dealership with his brother.

In 2019, Wayne was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Now retired, Wayne is known for his spot-on impersonation of Elvis Presley.

Jimmy Snuka, who came up with the “Superfly Splash”, was a pro wrestler who peaked in the 1980s. He was the inaugural ECW World Heavyweight Champion twice. In 1996, he was inducted into the WWF Hall of Fame. In 2015, he was arrested in response to his girlfriend’s death in 1983. However, he was deemed unfit to stand trial due to his deteriorating dementia. Sadly, he passed away not long after that.
