Hopping Frogs
The French introduced frog legs to the Eastern world, and Singaporeans improved on this delicacy. They turned it into frog-leg porridge. Why? We don’t know, but they did. Although it appears to be incredibly healthy and high in minerals and vitamins, the dish’s name is a huge turnoff for us. Porridge (being a porridge) may appear to be eaten for breakfast, however it is not. It’s typically served alongside dim sum and other meat dishes.

World Toilet Day
As a result, Singaporeans, like the majority of us, enjoy clean environments and bathrooms. They do, however, place a high value on toilets. And extended their relevance into an entire day. They mark World Toilet Day on November 19th. Although it is now supposed to be celebrated globally, the majority of participants are Singaporeans. The true meaning of this day is to raise awareness to the worldwide sanitation situation, which we (very quickly) found amusing. All they had to do was come up with a new name. That’s all.
