The term “Mama Shop” does not relate to a store that offers baby things, a store operated by an elderly lady, or a store specialized for extra-large ladies. In Singapore, a mama shop is a store that offers whatever you can conceive of, from any department, in any price range, for less than the cost of life itself. They’re all over, mainly under apartment complexes, and it’s a must-see if you’re in the neighborhood.
