It wanted what?
During their tense staredown, the polar bear suddenly shifted its approach, beginning to paw at the side of the ship. At first, its claws simply scraped against the metal, producing a grating sound that was mildly irritating. But the motion soon escalated into forceful banging, echoing across the hull with growing urgency. Captain Reynolds watched intently, frustration and concern building. What was this animal trying to tell them? Whatever it was, he knew one thing for certain—he had to figure it out, and fast.

“Steward,” Captain Reynolds called out, prompting one of his crew members to step forward, casting a wary glance at the polar bear just twelve feet below. “Yes, Captain. What can I do for you?” he asked, keeping one eye on Reynolds and the other fixed nervously on the animal. Clearly, not everyone shared the captain’s captivation with the creature.
