Cal learned at the auction that the manor was called Jameswood Villa. It was described as needing “full upgrading throughout.” He saw a 2010 image from Google Street View. These two were ready for a challenge, although the place was no longer in its prime.

Ideal, But Not Ideal
They had to look up Dunoon on the map to find out where their new property was located, so Claire was Canadian, and Cal was English. They were happy to find out that Glasgow was not that far away. At Glasgow University, Claire was planning to attend med school, so this was ideal for them. The shock had already worn off, and the young couple felt quite optimistic about the situation at hand.
