The Baby-Sitters Club – Cancelled

Viewers of Netflix’s adaptation of Ann M. Martin’s popular series of children’s novels might take solace in the fact that it lasted longer than HBO’s 1990 attempt. Despite receiving a pristine 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, The Baby-Sitters Club was cancelled after only two seasons.

Gentefied – Cancelled

Gentefied has the dubious distinction of becoming the first Netflix show to be canceled in 2022. America Ferrera (of Ugly Betty fame) produced the half-hour comedy-drama, which followed a trio of Mexican American relatives in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. With candor and humorous wit, the show covered a variety of real-world themes such as immigration, familial separation, and, of course, gentrification. Despite favorable reviews, people did not press play on this film.
