Calling the neighborhood tales
“We have to call the police,” decided João, cell phone in hand, as the idea that our backyard was connected to an unsolved crime hit us like a lightning bolt. “This is incredible!” whispered Lily, still filming, while Jake jumped up next to Max, excited to be part of a real detective story. The call was made, transforming us into guardians of this new piece of neighborhood history, and Max sat proudly, the hero of our unexpected adventure.

Max, the hero of the day
Applause erupted when Jake and Lily realized the extent of Max’s discovery. “You’re a hero, Max!” exclaimed Jake, patting him on the back and grinning from ear to ear. Max wagged his tail, basking in the praise, while Lily captured the moment, her lens focused on him. “He’s really found something special,” I said, stroking Max’s fur. Our backyard had been transformed into a landscape of history and adventure, thanks to our faithful investigator. And we would certainly never forget this exciting chapter.
