Brandon froze as the realization hit him. The scorching heat outside was unbearable, but inside the truck, it had to be even worse. There was no way he and his dad could walk away without helping the dog trapped in the car—it was far too dangerous to leave it there. Steeling himself, Brandon approached the dog’s owner.
